Motion Monday: Seven Psychopaths and Abbie Cornish

Following from the week before Fashion Friday: Abbie Cornish I thought I would delight you some more with this lovely lady. Currently in post production with Director Mark McDonagh and Blueprint Pictures for Seven Psychopaths.

“A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster’s beloved Shih Tzu.” (IMDb)

The film is set to be a hit with big names actors: Woody Harrelson, Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell just to name a few.

Abbie Cornish plays Kaya who is the struggling screenwriter girlfriend, played by Colin Farrell.

The film is set to be released late 2012.

Fashion Friday: Asher Keddie

Season 3 of Offspring has begun and I’m very excited. I could certainly say that it is one of my favourite Australian TV shows, it literally has me on the floor laughing, crying and laughing every episode. This can be accredited to a lot of the actors but mainly Asher Keddie.

Not only do I love Asher Keddie for all her amazing acting rolls but her fashion is devine.

Motion Monday: Zac Efron Bra Trick

Recenlty Zac Efron was in Australia and interviewed by the Take 30 team. What makes this so interesting from all other interviews, is that Zac Efron shows his smooth skills that he used in “The Lucky One” where he undoes a woman’s bra with one hand in a matter of seconds.

Motion Monday: Kath and Kim… Kimderella

Last night on the Logies it was announced that the fabulous Kath and Kim will be doing a movie in September. To some this could have been the worst news they heard during the Logies. For me an I’m sure quite a few others… this is great news! A TV series that made me laugh… A LOT! Highlighting Aussie bogans… or some qualities that you see in people you know.

Here is an old scene from Kath and Kim:

So what does the big screen have in store for us with this duo? Check out the sneak preview:

Motion Monday: Emma Watson her latest venture away from HP

Emma Watson is all grown up and to prove it she is facing the filming world with the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. A great choice for the transition of children/teen Harry Potter films to adult films.

The movie at first hit a wall, or should I say an R. It received this rating based on “teen drug and alcohol use, and some sexual references” (read more). Any movie buff, movie guru or just anybody knows that an R rating can seriously limit the audience that is allowed to view a film, so after appealing to the Classification and Rating Appeals Board of the MPAA, it was switched to PG-13 for “mature thematic material, drug and alcohol use, sexual content including references, and a fight – all involving teens.” (read more), a very good outcome!

So what is this film all about, well in short – “This is about 15-year-old Charlie (Logan Lerman), an endearing and naive outsider, coping with first love (Emma Watson), the suicide of his best friend, and his own mental illness while struggling to find a group of people with whom he belongs. The introvert freshman who is taken under the wings of two seniors who welcome him to the real world” (IMBD). Here is Emma talking about the filming of Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Here are some images from the set.

The release date for Australia is yet to be confirmed, but for other countries it looks like September so hopefully it is the same for Australia.

Motion Monday: Dakota bringing tears to our eyes.

Motion Monday is only short today as it has been a huge day and early rises can be very tiring. I am a huge fan of Dakota Fanning, as you may have been able to tell from my Fanning Sister inspired – Fashion Friday. So I thought I would tease you with a new movie that she is in. It has already been called a tear jerker and heart breaker. The movie is called “Now Is Good”. In short via IMBD “A girl dying of leukemia compiles a list of things she’d like to do before passing away. Topping the list is her desire to lose her virginity.” However IMBD fails to include that Tessa (Dakota) chooses to give up her treatment.

Motion Monday: Anything but the Oscars but the best three from the 90’s

Incase you haven’t heard from absolutely every television/radio/newspaper/magazine… The Oscars were today. So I’m not going to bore you with Oscar news because you can turn on the TV and there will no doubt be some form of a review. So how to please you? I’m going to spoil you with my three favourite movies from the 90’s, that I promise you will either love or possibly agree with me that they are well worth a watch.

1. Jumanji – 1995

The first time I watched this I must admit I was young and there were nightmares. I WAS YOUNG. But I can still watch this movie today and enjoy it.

2. Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion – 1997

Girls, actually girls and ladies, there can’t be a chick flick night with out this movie! This movie is guaranteed to make you laugh – that wet yourself laugh.

3. The Truman Show – 1998

You may not like this movie because to some it does seem simple. But this is actually a good Jim Carrey movie. Who doesn’t have that little thought in their head after watching this movie – could it be real? And lastly my favourite – in case I don’t see you – Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Good Night.
