This week was the Lifeline Bookfest and I was lucky enough to have a very kind lady friend who was also just as keen to come. My lady friend has previous experience in the Lifeline Bookfest and took me straight to the unsorted section. It was a very smart idea!

I picked up two Australian Women’s Weekly cookbooks from the 1980’s. I saw them and fell in love because they’re exactly what my mother had!

The Lovers Guide by Cosmopolitan from 1993, which was more for a love… and proved to be a good a laugh!

A Shakespeare play to add to my collection – The Merchant of Venice. That I was extremely excited about.

And my favourite “Anyone Can Do It” which is a handyman book that (now for the thrill) features Bert and Patty Newton!

A very good day!
